Kingdom Ed Community Circle w/ Althea Penn

Topic: Kingdom Education For Such a Time as This – Althea Penn

Dr. Penn has over four decades of distinguished expertise as an accomplished author, speaker, and organizational development practitioner. Her multifaceted career spans roles as an educational consultant and educator in both primary and secondary settings. In this session, Dr. Penn explores the vital role of Biblical discernment in Kingdom education and how to address the negative trends that Christian educators may face in the near future.

The current educational landscape is a complex and often turbulent environment, shaped by a dynamic U.S. political climate, rising student mental health challenges, and the pressing need to ground our work in biblical truth. This training will equip Christian educators and school leaders with the tools of system thinking and strategic foresight to navigate these complexities. We will align with the ACSI Flourishing School Culture domains of Purpose and Teaching & Learning, and ECE competencies, while addressing key findings from the 2024 Cardus Education Survey and the Center for Bible Engagement’s “Power of 4” research. This session, led by Dr. Althea Penn, will empower you to build resilient, Christ-centered learning environments that nurture spiritual formation, support the unique needs of all students—especially those with developmental delays or anxiety—and ground your community in biblical literacy.
